Orange lichen
Lichen orange
An orange lichen (possibly Xanthoria parietina) on a rock close to the shore, with another smaller grey lichen next to it on the left. Lichens are not exactly plants, but in fact a symbiotic association between a fungus and a photosynthesising partner (a bacteria or an algae).
Un lichen orange (peut-être Xanthoria parietina) sur un rocher proche de la côte, avec un autre lichen plus petit et gris à sa gauche. Les lichens ne sont pas exactement des plantes, mais plutôt des associations symbiotiques entre un champignon et un partenaire qui fait la photosynthèse (une algue ou une bactérie).
